POLICY STATEMENT AND RELATED PROCEDURES

Guiding principles, criteria and other considerations:
  1. Members’ personal information should not be available on the website to the general public or visible to harvesting by an internet search engine
  2. “Personal information” includes, but is not limited to:
    • Members’ Home address
    • Members’ email address, unless prior permission is given
    • Members’ telephone number, unless prior permission is given
3. The website should be as easy as possible for members and non-members to access and navigate
4. The website should contain information that is useful, interesting, helpful, beneficial and requested by Subud members.
5. Information that is only available to members will be password – protected.

Organization of the Subud Canada website
The website will be divided into two parts:

Members Area (password-protected) can contain:
  • Membership Directory & Quick List. The information contained in this list is not to be sold, lent or made available to other organizations or to anyone who is not a member of Subud Canada
  • Minutes of National Congress, AGM, National Committee & National Council meetings
  • Subud Canada Bylaws
  • Organization Handbook, including Policies & Procedures
  • Talks by Bapak and Ibu Rahayu
  • Specific information about member activities with their names
  • SCAN
Members will be required to register with the Subud Canada Webmaster, so that any future access to the Members Area of the website requires them to enter a User Name and Password.

Public/Open Area (not password-protected) can contain:
  • Brief description of Subud
  • Brochures on Subud for enquirers
  • Contact information in Canada (i.e. telephone numbers and email addresses) – so long as the contact persons have given their permission
  • Excerpts from published books (e.g. Susila Budhi Dharma) and other material that are available to the public
  • Information about the Wings e.g. SD Canada
  • Applicant’s Form
  • Links to International Subud websites (e.g. ISC) and contacts
  • Log on screen and registration instructions for access to the Members Area
